We hosted our first Re-Street workshop and what an amazing afternoon it was!
Our participants (whom we can’t thank enough!) brought their creative ideas to life, imagining how they’d like to see Nijmegen evolve into a more inclusive and welcoming city.
We used two spaces in Nijmegen to experiment: Keizer Karelplein roundabout and a quieter street next to an elementary school in Dukenburg dominated by cars. Each group could either make small improvements they’d love to see tomorrow or go fully visionary, imagining how these places could look in 10 or 20 years. Their imagination and enthusiasm truly inspired us.
We’re excited to see and to discover what the creative and colourful minds of the children and adults can bring to our city, and to keep building a more open and inclusive urban future together.
